Alps Bio Cluster - Medtech Partnering Day 2009

"ICT & Health"

Tuesday, 24th November 2009
Innsbruck, Austria

This first partnering event of Alps BioCluster has a double objective:

  • To encourage academic and industrial actors of the Alpine Space to meet and exchange information
  • To launch the thematic network "Autonomy and Healthcare".

The purpose of this network is to initiate cooperation between transalpine actors in order to build collaborative projects and strategic partnerships on a long-term basis. The implementation of the network will be driven by a cross-sectoral approach (autonomy, healthcare, information and communication technologies).

To make the "Alps Bio Cluster - Medtech Partnering Day" more attractive, the keynote lecture held by Dr. G. Geyer from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency will be dedicated to the Ambient-Assisted Living programme. Accordingly, the event will also promote a partner search among Alps Bio Clusters' companies and research institutions to build consortia for the 3. AAL call starting in December 2009.

You will have the opportunity to select co-operation partners and to be selected by other co-operation partners to establish contacts and partnerships of high relevance in order to start joint projects.

In the evening, all participants of the “Alps Biocluster - Medtech Partnering Day” will have the possibility to visit a social event – Tyrolean Innovation Day.  This event with a long tradition attracts about 500 participants every year representing R&D, innovative enterprises, cluster managers, end-users and policy-makers from the whole of Austria (simultaneous translation to English available).
